Troubled Mormon Wives star Chase McWhorter is hit with arrest warrant as he’s seen partying hours before court hearing
The Hulu reality star ditched his court hearing, a clerk confirms
THE SECRET Lives of Mormon Wives star Chase McWhorter has been hit with a warrant for his arrest after he apparently failed to appear at a court hearing.
The U.S. Sun spoke exclusively with a clerk who confirmed that the Hulu star and Miranda McWhorter‘s ex-husband missed his hearing Monday morning, and he could be arrested if he gets pulled over while driving.

“He has a $500 warrant out on him. If he got pulled over, he could get arrested,” the clerk told The U.S. Sun.
It appeared from his social media accounts that Chase, 30, was partying the night away ahead of his court appearance at Tao nightclub’s Sundance pop-up alongside fellow reality star, Marciano Brunette.
According to Chase in comments online, his partying at Tao was actually on Friday night, despite the time stamps from when it appeared he had posted it.
After missing his 9 am arraignment and after a warrant was issued for his arrest, Chase showed up to court and was arraigned, according to additional court records filed in the afternoon local time.
It is unclear if The U.S. Sun’s report was what spurred Chase to attend his arraignment, but in showing up to court, it appears his warrant was rescinded.
Chase’s arraignment on Monday was related to charges stemming from a December 12 incident.
Chase was pulled over and charged with not having a driver’s license in his possession, driving on a suspended license and speeding.
The U.S. Sun reached out to Chase’s attorney for comment.
As The U.S. Sun exclusively reported, Chase was arrested over the July 4 weekend for DUI and cocaine possession.
He issued an apology after his arrest came to light.
BIG BUST
In the police report from Chase’s July arrest, law enforcement officials said a woman driving near the Mormon Wives star signaled officers at a red light, reporting that she had seen a white Tesla driving dangerously.
According to official court records, Utah police accused Chase of “knowingly and intentionally possessing or using a controlled substance” and “driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs” while his license was already suspended or revoked.
Police reported that they “observed a vehicle driven by a male, later identified as [Chase], who was unable to maintain his speed and drifted outside of the travel lane several times, almost hitting a curb.”
Upon stopping the reality star’s car, officers noted the smell of alcohol and observed that he had bloodshot, glassy eyes and slurred speech.
Furthermore, authorities alleged that a search of the vehicle uncovered a “powder substance that field-tested positive for cocaine and fentanyl.”
Local police claimed that after being read his Miranda rights, the Hulu star admitted to drinking at a bar and using cocaine prior to driving.
ADMISSIONS AND TESTING
At the station, Chase told officers he had been at the Bout Time Bar and was heading to a friend’s house when he was pulled over.
He reportedly confessed to drinking, stating he had “two or three” Michelobs and “two or three shots of tequila.”
While Chase initially told law enforcement he had not used any drugs other than alcohol that night, officers claimed, “After I asked him about the bag we found in his car, he acted surprised and stated that he did not know where it came from, but admitted that he had ‘tried cocaine for the first time tonight.’”
A forensic nurse who conducted a urine test reported that Chase tested positive for amphetamines, cocaine, and alcohol.
THE RELEASE
Police informed Chase he could have a responsible person pick him up from the station.
He contacted his friend Litia Garr, a runner-up on Season 29 of The Bachelor who is also set to join the cast for next season of Mormon Wives.
Litia signed the necessary release forms, and Chase was released into her custody.
Chase was charged with possession of a controlled substance, DUI, and driving on a suspended or revoked license.
He received a summons for a court appearance on September 24 at 8:30 am.
ANOTHER ARREST WARRANT
Court records show that Chase failed to appear for that initial hearing for his DUI and cocaine charge, leading to an arrest warrant being issued that same day with bail set at $2,500.
By November 5, Chase’s attorney entered a formal plea of not guilty.
The warrant was eventually withdrawn on November 18. According to state evidence, Chase’s vehicle was impounded following the arrest.
Speaking exclusively to The U.S. Sun about his DUI and cocaine possession bust, Chase’s attorney stated: “My client is presumed to be innocent and I intend to represent him to the best of my ability.”
Chase and Miranda share two children, son Brooks Wesley and daughter Cohen Roo.
