TLC BOMBSHELL: Polyfamily Set to Replace Sister Wives After Explosive Family Collapse?!
Sister Wives is without a doubt one of TLC’s most successful reality shows for years. It features the story of Kody and his four wives, Meri, Janelle, Christine, and Robyn. However, things fell apart between them, ultimately leading to Christine, Janelle, and Meri’s departures.
The show is currently on its 19th season, and some fans think it’s only a matter of time before it completely disappears from TV. But it seems TLC has already prepared a possible replacement for Sister Wives titled Polyfamily. Keep reading to see what the show is about.
Polyfamily: TLC Introduces An Even Wilder Family
The Polyfamily is one of TLC’s newest series featuring an unusual family. The story revolves around two wives and two husbands who share each other in a “closed quad” relationship. This means that they’re all open to any intimate activities with one another.
However, their complicated situation has also resulted in many problems, especially with the fact that both husbands, Tyler and Sean, hate each other. There have been many questions revolving around their “closed quad” lifestyle, especially whose baby is whose whenever a wife gets pregnant.

TLC’s New Series Polyfamily Could Be Replacing Sister Wives
There have been speculations that Polyfamily is the next big thing that could replace Sister Wives in the future. One of the latest storylines of the show was Taya’s birth to Baby Quintin.
Nobody knows who the father is, leading to tensions and so much confusion about who would take care of the child. Sean, Tyler, Alysia, and Taya are currently raising five kids. Some fans are also hooked on the show, but others feel bad for the kids, who are the most affected by the nontraditional relationship of their parents.
Many fans have also shared mixed reactions when they first saw the show’s trailer.

- “The fact that they would rather not know crucial medical information about their newborn (i.e., his blood type) to protect the peace in the family is what’s wrong with the feelings-driven crowd.”
- “Why would anyone put themselves in that position? Your setting yourselves up for heart break.”
- “Seam seems like a huge narcissist, I’d feel horrible being with someone so miserable. He has a very dark energy, this whole show does tbh.”
- “We need to bring back shame. You can call it polyamorous but it’s just old fashioned wife swapping.”
- “That should mess the kids up sufficiently.”
Polyfamily: TLC Releases Synopsis For Upcoming Episodes
TLC has already released a synopsis for the upcoming 5th and 6th episodes of Polyfamily. The fifth episode will feature Alysia’s attempt to reconnect with her father, who doesn’t support her quad relationship. The episode will also show Sean crossing a boundary with Alysia by sharing details about his intimacy with Taya. Due to this, fans can expect betrayals and more intense moments as the season progresses.

The 6th episode of Season 1 will show Alyssa and Sean’s attempt to do an intimacy workshop, which ended up awkwardly. Taya will also confess about having a relationship outside of the quad, leading to a heated exchange.
