Taylor Frankie Paul Says She’s Been ‘Struggling Mentally’ as She Shares Photo of Her Crying
The Mormon Wives star and future Bachelorette got candid about her mental health in a Feb. 19 Instagram post
Taylor Frankie Paul is being open about her mental health.
In a Feb. 19 Instagram post, the 31-year old mom of three shared a series of snaps in a video as she opened up about some of the mental health-related struggles she has been dealing with recently.
Over a mirror selfie of herself crying, Paul wrote, “There are signs of mental struggle other than the obvious and one that took time to pick up on is… someone checking in is actually their CRY for help.” Also included in the video were screenshots of text messages between Paul and others checking in on each other.
In one screenshot, the person on the other end of the conversation wrote, “How are you,” to which Paul replied, “Surviving. How are you?”
Paul also included other videos documenting some of the more tangible manifestations of her mental health journey, including snaps of clothes strewn across her room and clutter piling up in her kitchen.
Paul further expanded on her sentiments in her caption, writing, “I guess an upside of struggling mentally is you start to sense and see the signs of others feeling the same.

“We’re out here just checking in on each other when we can and when we don’t respond it’s not taken personally because we get it,” she wrote, referring to texts in the screenshots she shared that had gone unanswered.
“Just be mindful that sometimes that person checking in is the one needing help… and that one took me time to learn,” Paul wrote. “I sometimes ask myself what’s the point of all this sharing this shit and I tell myself it may be as simple as making someone feel less alone and if it helps just a few people than it’s worth it.”
Paul’s video comes as she and her fellow Secret Lives of Mormon Wives stars are set to re-enter the cultural conversation with the premiere of the show’s fourth season, which is slated for March 12. Just over a week later, Paul will also take center stage on season 22 of The Bachelorette, which premieres on March 22.
In the teaser trailer for the hit ABC dating show’s upcoming season, Paul could be seen navigating her rocky past relationship with ex Dakota Mortensen, with whom she welcomed son Ever in March 2024.
The two split in September of that year, although they continued to have an on-and-off relationship throughout the three seasons of the Hulu show.

She then questioned: “Am I worthy of love? Is it even possible? As a single mom, I want to better myself.”
“Maybe all I need to do is be my own true self,” she declared toward the end of the promo. “And have a little faith.”
Season 4 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives will premiere on March 12, with all 10 episodes streaming on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+.
The Bachelorette premieres on Sunday, March 22, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and streams the next day on Hulu.
