General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Erika Slezak is exiting as Veronica “Ronnie” Bard and her final airdate has been confirmed. Let’s talk about the end of Slezak’s run and whether she might be up for a return stint in the future.
SOD offered confirmation on Erika Slezak’s last episode airing November 6, so it’s time to put all Monica Quartermaine’s (Leslie Charleson) sister drama to rest.
After an apologetic interaction with Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) at the Quartermaine mansion, Ronnie is heading back to North Carolina.
Monica’s real will indicated Ronnie should get enough money for a house in her favorite neighborhood, so Ronnie has a dream home in her future.
It’s best for Ronnie to leave all the Quartermaine chaos behind and focus on better days ahead in Durham.
As for whether Slezak would be open to returning down the road, she admitted she would.
Slezak had a blast during her brief time filming and loved the chance to work with such a talented cast.
Slezak also appreciated the character development for Ronnie toward the end of her arc, so she had nothing but good things to say about her experience on the show.
“Ronnie grew through this whole process, and learned — and yes, I would be open to coming back,” Slezak said in her exit interview with SOD.
It’s possible we’ll see Ronnie again at some point, so that’ll soften the blow for fans who might be sad to see her go!
Erika Slezak is a talented actress and a soap opera legend, so GH was lucky to score the One Life to Live alum.
Of course, there’s one mystery that still hasn’t been resolved as Ronnie departs the canvas.
Slezak admitted people keep asking her who shot Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), but she’s in the dark and shut down the idea that it could’ve been Ronnie.
“My sister called me: ‘Who shot Drew? Did you shoot him?’ I said, ‘How can I shoot him? I wasn’t even in town!’” Slezak said with a laugh.
Although Monica’s will story is over, there’s still plenty more action to play out when it comes to Drew’s whodunit.
