EXPLOSIVE! Sister Wives Star Drops Bombshell: Forced Into NDA for Total Silence!

A star of TLC’s Sister Wives claims they were pressured into signing an NDA in exchange for their “silence” over the sale of the family’s Coyote Pass property.

In a new teaser trailer, Meri Brown recalled a tense exchange with ex-husband Kody Brown as they moved to finalize the land sale with Robyn and Janelle Brown. The clip suggested there was far more happening behind the scenes between the former family members than viewers ever realized.

Sister Wives' Star Claims They Were Pressured Into Signing NDA In Exchange For 'Silence' - Parade

“He’s blaming the whole [expletive] thing on me that I sorted out; that I’m the problem,” Meri began in a new Facebook teaser trailer for an episode set to air on November 16. “They were trying to get me to sign a confidentiality agreement, which I was not willing to agree to.”

“Why do you want me to sign a confidentiality agreement? Why are you trying to silence me?” Meri asked.

In a separate interview, Kody explained the family had a buyer for the property, and claimed Janelle was pushing him to “comply completely” with Meri’s wishes, or “force the sale.” He added, “I got in this place where I was like ‘backdoor deal’ almost with Janelle. Just sell it out from under these two (Meri and Robyn).”

As Kody’s only legal wife, Robyn was against this tactic. In response, he told TLC’s cameras, “Robyn was saying, ‘We are not going to mess them over.’ This is why I was a terrible polygamist, because I couldn’t say ‘just sit down and shut up!’ I couldn’t ever just do that with these wives and just manage it,” Kody declared.

Kody added, “Robyn looked at me and said, ‘Who are you? You’re the man I met and fell in love with, who said if one of his wives left him, he’d buy her a house down the street to keep his kids close to him, and you’d be so generous with her. Where are you?'”

Surprisingly, Janelle added that Kody could legally sell the property “without Meri’s consent. He could have forced the sale.” This statement came after Janelle sided with Meri several seasons ago, fearing Kody might attempt to do something underhanded with the property.

Sister Wives director then asked Meri off-camera, “If you signed the confidentiality and they had sold the property out from under you, would you be able to speak about it?”

“No,” she cried. “It [expletive] breaks my heart that it has come to this. I didn’t think that these people would try and do this to me. Like, were there not any parts of us that were human?” Meri concluded.

Kody, Meri, Janelle, and Robyn Brown eventually sold the family’s Flagstaff, Arizona, property in April 2025, for $1.5M, according to The Sun.

The land was purchased in 2018 for $820K. Ahead of the sale, the land was retitled so each of the former family members would receive one quarter of the profits.
