JUST IN : “Reality TV star arrested for allegedly assaulting wife just days after filing for divorce – the real reason behind it.”

Thais Ramone has been arrested for misdemeanor domestic battery. Her arrest comes just two days after her husband filed for divorce.

Thais Ramone has been arrested for misdemeanor domestic battery. The 90 Day Fiance star, whose husband, Patrick Mendes, recently filed for divorce, was arrested on May 22 in Nevada. According to Page Six, Ramone’s arrest came just two days after Mendes had filed the divorce paperwork.

“Court filings state that Mendes is also seeking sole legal and physical custody of the couple’s 3-year-old daughter, Aleesi, claiming the child has been living with him separately since early May,” Complex reports. “Ramone’s next court appearance for the battery charge is scheduled for late July.”

Ramone and Mendes initially shot to fame during their time on 90 Day Fiance. They recently returned to our screens via 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Interestingly, the couple was also cast for the upcoming 90 Day Fiancé: The Last Resort, which is a spin-off about couples who have dealt with troubled relationships.

Following Ramone’s arrest, she was released after posting a $3,000 bond. She’s scheduled to be back in court to face charges in late July.

There’s currently no further information regarding Ramone’s alleged battery, nor any additional details regarding her case. However, as the situation unfolds, that will undoubtedly change.

Representatives of Thais Ramone and Patrick Mendes Have Addressed the Divorce

Once news broke that Mendes had filed for divorce, a representative for the couple released a statement to the media.

“Out of respect for everyone involved, we believe it’s important not to jump to conclusions or contribute to speculation before all facts are properly clarified,” the statement read, via Complex.

“Domestic matters can be deeply emotional and complex, and we encourage compassion, privacy, and due process for all parties involved.”

Divorces often get messy, especially when a custody battle is tied into the situation. As such, this is unlikely to be the last we hear of the couple’s split. Of course, it’s likely that Ramone’s latest arrest won’t go over well in court.

For now, though, all we can do is wait and see how everything unfolds. Still, it might be time for 90 Day Fiancé to cast a different couple. Because once divorce papers are filed, no amount of reality TV is going to turn the tide.
